Services for you
Portland State University Library is committed to providing equivalent access to all library services for distance learners, faculty and staff. This page provides information on special services for distance patrons. You are eligible for distance services if you are a current PSU student, faculty or staff member living more than 30 miles from PSU campus.
The first time you use InterLibrary Loan, you can set your preferred loan delivery method to "Mail to Address" for home delivery, if you live more than 30 miles from campus. If you already have an account and need to change your delivery preference, please email ill@pdx.edu.
In addition to being eligible for special delivery services, distance learners are encouraged to take advantage of the Library's Online Reference Service and Research Guides. We welcome your suggestions!

| Book that is available at PSU Library |
Click the green “Place Hold” button to have the book mailed to your home. You are responsible for return postage to return the book by mail, or you can drop it off at a nearby Summit library. OR Go to a nearby Summit library if the book is available there. |
| Book that is checked out of PSU Library, or not owned by PSU, and available from a Summit library |
Go to a nearby Summit library if the book is available there. OR Click the green "Request Summit Item" button. If you select PSU Library as your library when requesting an item, items will be delivered to Portland State Library's first floor Circulation Desk. To pick up materials from a different Summit library, present your PSU ID card at that location to be "adopted" as one of that library's patrons. Once adopted, select that library when requesting, and materials will be delivered to that location. OR Fill in a blank ILLiad form to have the book sent to your home. |
